The BJP is organizing several programs across the country on Monday to celebrate the 99th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Good Governance Day.

On the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 99th birthday, senior BJP leaders, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visited the “Sadaiv Atal” memorial in New Delhi on Monday to offer floral tributes.

Also, PM Modi remembered Vajpayee in a tweet on X, the erstwhile Twitter.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the late Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the country’s family members. His lifelong endeavor was to provide momentum to the process of nation building. His commitment to serving Mother India and his sense of duty would never waver. He wrote on X, “Will remain a source of inspiration even in his immortal age.”

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and President Draupadi Murmu were also present at the memorial.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind, BJP National President JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh, and other dignitaries showed their homage and laid flowers on this special day.

On Monday, the 99th anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth is being observed as Good Governance Day by the Bharatiya Janata Party nationwide.

Prior to this, JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, requested that state presidents and party officials nationwide place flowers at each booth honoring the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and hold conversations about his amazing life and legacy.

There will be talks about the policies and accomplishments of the federal government, state governments ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party, and excellent governance for the benefit of the underprivileged in every district.

Increasing public access to a range of government services and initiatives through good governance is the aim of Good Governance Day. This day is observed to make sure that citizens of the nation receive equitable treatment from the government and are able to take advantage of a range of government services.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a gifted orator, was the well-known face of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and then the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Vajpayee was born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on December 25, 1924. He won three elections to be India’s prime minister.
