On November 11, the Telugu film industry said goodbye to a wonderful person. Veteran actor Chandra Mohan died suddenly due to a heart attack. His wife and their two children are the only people he left behind.

The acting community in Telugu is mourning the demise of the great Chandra Mohan. The great actor, best known for playing lead roles, is no more with us. Chandra Mohan died at 9.45 am on Saturday morning at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to a heart attack.

Famous Indian actor Chandra Mohan was born on 23 May 1945 and is known for his roles in the Telugu cinema industry. He has won seven Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards.

His roles in commercial blockbusters such as Rangula Ratnam, Siri Siri Muvva (1978), and Padhareela Vayasu (1978), in which he co-starred with Sridevi and for which he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu), were well received by critics.

The 1975 film Naalai Namadhe was his Tamil debut. He played lead roles in several films, including Chandamama Rao, Seethamalakshmi, Radha Kalyanam, Rendu Rela Aaru and Ram Robert Rahim.

Chandra Mohan reportedly died of heart failure. According to Telugu media sources, Chandra Mohan was reportedly treated for cardiac problems after being taken to a private hospital.

The 82-year-old Telugu actor was survived by his two daughters and his wife Jalandhar. He is a relative of K Vishwanath (strong filmmaker). It is being claimed that Chandra Mohan’s last rites will be performed on Monday, November 13.

Chandra Mohan’s Career

In 1966, the actor started his career in Telugu films with Rangula Ratnam. In his 932 filmography, he played the lead role in 150 of them.

He was honored with two Nandi Awards: one in 1987 for Chandamama Rave and the other in 2005 for Athanokkade. In 1978, he was also awarded the Filmfare Awards-South for Padaharela Vayasu.
