India will invest Rs 4,000 crore for the Raxaul-Kathmandu railway line route in Nepal, which will connect India’s border city Raxaul with Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.

The Government of India will invest an amount of Rs 4,000 crore in the Raxaul-Kathmandu railway route being built in Nepal. Investment will soon be made in this dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi so that this railway line will be ready in the coming five years. The special thing about this project is that this railway route will help India’s border city Raxaul to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Tunnels will be constructed at 31 places in this entire railway line, along with 18 major bridges, 101 mid-level bridges and 122 small bridges will also be constructed between Raxaul and Kathmandu.

A report has been prepared by Konkan Railway in which it has been estimated that the construction of this railway route may cost around Rs 4000 crore. Let us tell you that it has been proposed to build Raxaul-Veerganj-Belhwa-Manharwa-Sapahi Bazar-Nijgarh-Makwanpur-Diyal-Shikharpur-Sisneri-Satikhel and Chobhar stations on Raxaul-Kathmandu railway line, in which the total distance from Raxaul to Kathmandu is 170.96 km. .

Double line will be made

A single line will be built from Raxaul to Shikharpur and a double line from Shikharpur to Chobhar Kathmandu. It is believed that the single line will be 90.065 kilometers and the double line will be 46.725 kilometers. It has also been proposed to construct most of the tunnels and high-rise bridges on the double line route from Shikharpur to Kathmandu.

According to the detailed project report, tunnels will have to be constructed at 31 places on this entire railway route, the total length of which is 40.865 km. Besides, 18 major bridges, 101 medium level bridges and 122 small bridges will also be constructed between Raxaul and Kathmandu.

Proposal to build overhead and underpass

It has been proposed to build two overhead and 17 underpasses across the entire railway line. The railway will be completely electrified on which passenger trains will travel 120 km. It can run at a speed of 80 kmph and the maximum speed limit of a goods train can be 80 kmph.
